The LA7840 is a field deflection output integrated circuit produced by Sanyo. The circuit uses a DC-coupled input. The video signal processing circuit controlled by the bus, such as the LA76810 output field sawtooth voltage, is amplified by the LA7840 to directly drive the field deflection coil.
The internal circuit of LA7840 includes sawtooth voltage operational amplifier, overheat protection circuit, pump power supply circuit and so on. Operating current is 1.8A for small screen TVs. The chip has low power consumption, small crossover distortion, single power supply, and simple structure and few external components.
