The LM3915 is a monolithic integrated circuit sensory analog voltage level and driver with ten LEDs, an LCD or vacuum fluorescent display that provides a digital display of 3 dB/step.

The LM3915 device features: 3 dB/step, 30 dB range drive LED, LCD, or vacuum fluorescent bar or external user selectable dot matrix display mode extended to 90 dB display internal reference voltage from 1.2V to 12V operation The 3V to 25V single supply operates from a grounded input and output current from a 1 mA programmable 30 mA input that can withstand ± no damage or false output of 35V output current regulation, open collector, and can directly drive TTL or CMOS one pin change A moving point display is displayed from a bar chart. Adjust the LED current driver and programmable to eliminate the need for current limiting resistors. The entire display system can be used from as low as 3V or as high as 25V high single-supply audio applications including average or peak level indicators, power meters and RF signals.
