The TC9153P is an optimally designed C2MOS electronic volume control IC that is primarily used for electronic volume control of audio equipment.
1. TC9153 indoor circuit block diagram and pin function TC9153P integrated block circuit is mainly composed of clock oscillation circuit, conversion circuit, electronic switch circuit, 6-bit and 7-bit circuit, etc. The block diagram and pin function of the integrated block are as follows. Shown. The TC9153P integrated circuit is packaged in a dual-row, 16-pin in-line package. The operating voltages of the pins are listed in the table.

3. TC9153P Typical Application Circuit The TC9153P integrated block is usually used with the microprocessor TC9150P. The typical application circuit of the integrated block is the same as the TC9150P typical application circuit.
4. Circuit Operation Process The TC9153P relies on the internal oscillator and the up/down pins to control the attenuation. The control range is 0~-68 dB, which is divided into 32 levels (2 dB per stage). Since the initial state of the power is attenuated by 46 dB instead of the maximum or minimum, it is guaranteed to output at a moderate volume when the power is turned on. The 3 pin of the TC9153P is the audio signal input terminal, and the signal after the volume control is output from the 6 pin. The control process is controlled by the output signals of the microprocessors 5 and 6. (1) When the TC9153P9 pin is controlled to be low, it starts to oscillate, and the internal volume of the IC changes as the volume rises (the sound gradually becomes larger). (2) When the TC9153P10 pin is controlled to be low level, the internal volume of the IC is decreased.
5. Trouble-shooting tips If the volume is small or not, a 10 μF capacitor can be used to connect the 3 and 6 pins of the TC9153P. If the sound returns to normal, the TC9153P is internally damaged.
